Light Covering Darkness When the lights are turning low and all is so dim Darkness begins to settle the lamp wick to trim With the lamp turning down ready to set to sleep Resting for a while on the horizon the sun does peep My darkness was in illness taking from me my life Disease a dark hold on my body cutting as a knife I prayed, I cried, I prayed my life fading away Doctors said it was over, darkness in the day Still needed on this earth, children relying on me Deeper into His Spirit, my prayers on my knees Body getting weaker now before God on my face Believing, desiring a miracle this is no disgrace Walking and talking with God all the day through Pleading for a miracle, He could do it, this I knew Transplant list, weaker, the light was growing dim Most thought within my mind and spirit now to Him Sitting in Specialist office, he said I would surely die I said Jesus heals, I would live, I looked him in the eye His Spirit fell upon me I told everyone around Jesus is the answer and He would not let me down That Light continues to shine, His lamp is on high Like the bright morning sun comes up into the sky Now seven years later, my life is in His hand Light covering darkness, like footsteps in the sand Copyright©05DJ Shrewsbury

Even doctors say that faith gives the edge that is needed. Very well written with fine rhyme and meter. Lady B Lane- Excellent job.
